Dear Grade Two Families,
Although it was a short week, it was a busy one in Grade Two! First, we celebrated Valentine’s Day together by making heart-themed art and participating in Valentine’s Day centres with our buddies! I could definitely feel the love on this day and hope you feel the same amount of love at home, especially on this Family Day long weekend!
We also began the Lenten season this week with Ash Wednesday. The Grade Two’s started their Lenten Journey by thoughtfully giving up something meaningful to them for the 40 days of Lent as a reminder of all the sacrifices Jesus made for us. I look forward to making this Lenten journey with your children as they grow closer to Christ through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
Starting on Tuesday, we will attend morning Mass every day together as a school community. All students are encouraged to attend Mass and sit in the reserved section at the front with the teachers. Mass starts at 8:15 am, so please arrive on time. Parents are welcome to stay for Mass too. See you all there!
