Grade 2

February 26-March 1

Dear Grade Two Families,

On Wednesday, the students celebrated the 100th day of Grade Two! They wrote about what they will do when they’re 100 years old and created a craft to go along with it. One hundred thanks to you, parents, for helping your children with their one-derful costumes! The past hundred days of school have flown by and there’s no slowing down!

Speaking of not slowing down, next week your children will continue preparing for their First Reconciliation! Please practice the steps with them every day leading up to their First Confession. A copy of this was sent home along with an Examination of Conscience. It is helpful to practice this daily so the children are aware of their actions and feel more comfortable confessing their sins. Don’t forget we have a meeting this Wednesday where we will talk about Reconciliation and the Making Peace theme.

Finally, congratulations on completing the first half of the First Communion program! We are four Masses and four meetings down! Your children have been praying, reflecting, and participating excellently as they prepare their hearts for Jesus. I truly appreciate the dedication and support you have given your child throughout this first part of the program. Please make sure all of the pages in the Gold Book for the themes of Belonging, Celebrating, Listening, and Caring are completed.
