Hi Kinder families!
This week, we continued to learn how to count numbers 1-10 in Cree and the sound for the letter “Nn”. We also talked about our God-given talents and how animals adapt to the Winter season. Lots of wonderful learning and playing! We look forward to learning and sharing about Lunar New Year and leading our first school Mass.

Homework:
- Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of home reading (please use “My Reading” book, “My Read Well” book, and books from home)
- Read Well– Please finish letter ‘Nn’ page if it is not completed. Review with your child words that have the “Nn” sound.
- UFLI– Home Practice lesson 9 was sent home today. Please review the words with your child.
- Splash Learn– A great learning tool to further support your child in Math. Please use the login instructions that were sent home last week or send us an email if you are having any difficulties.
- 100s Day– We will be celebrating a 100 Days of School in the primary grades on Wednesday, February 21st with a “collection” project and a dress up day! Please read through the notice attached below. The notice with their brainstorm for what they want to collect 100 of, will be sent home on Monday.
Friendly Reminders:
Socks/ Extra Layers – With the Winter season in full swing and the expected rain (or snow), please feel free to send your child to school wearing an extra layer just please ensure that the layers are in school appropriate colours. On wet days, we suggest packing an extra pair of socks in your child’s backpack, just in case.
Scholastic Reading Club– The January flyer can be accessed here. If you would like to order from Scholastic (optional), please enter Kindergarten’s class code RC318627 at checkout so that we can receive rewards for our classroom! Thank you in advance for your support.
