Grade 7

News for November 4th – 8th

Hello everyone,

This is a busy week and there are several news items to take note of:

Remembrance Day Assembly

The Grade 7’s will be presenting the Remembrance Day Assembly on Friday November 8th @ 11am. All are invited to join us on this important day. Also, a reminder that Monday is no school due to Remembrance Day and we also have no school on Tuesday November 12th for teacher professional development.

Christmas Concert

As of this morning, along with myself, Mrs. Teodosio and Ms. Guevara, we have begun the rehearsals for the Christmas Concert. If your child is participating from Grade 7 as a performer, all rehearsal schedules and practice scripts will be communicated to them via Google Classroom. We ask that everyone come on time and prepared. We look forward to a great performance on December 17th!

Spirit Day

This coming Sunday, November 10th is Spirit Day for the Gr 7’s at the Chandos Pattison Auditorium in Surrey. Students attending are expected to organize their own rides to and from the event, which goes from 10am – 6pm. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Recycling

Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered to pick up the plastic recycling from our school (Thank you to the room parents for organizing!). You have two options for drop off:

  1. Richmond Recycling Depot (555 Lynas Lane)

2. London Drugs (5971 No. 3 Rd) Thank you to Diane Secord for tipping us off to this one. They will                   take our flexible packaging (Crinkly), soft plastic and hard plastics. If you choose to take your                           scheduled drop-off here, please let me know how it goes!

Have a wonderful week!

Mr. Kirkham
