Update April 22 – 26th 2024

Hello, Grade 7 Parents,

It was great to see you all at Friday’s Student Led Conferences. I hope you had an enjoyable experience with your child as they shared their work with you. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the family reflection together with your child who will open this document in the “What’s Trending in Grade 7?! Google Classroom.

Tuesday April 23 2024 – Canuck Game Day

To cheer on the team, students have the option to wear their Canucks apparel (jersey, hoodie, t-shirt) over their uniform on Canucks game days.

The schedule (so far) is as follows:
Tuesday, April 23 (Game 2)
Friday, April 26 (Game 3)

We will continue to update you on the schedule as it evolves… Go Canucks Go!

Friday April 26th – SPIRIT Nite (Black Widow Theme)

All Grade 6/7 students are invited for a fun, faith-filled night with food and refreshments from 7:30pm-9:00pm.

Upcoming Grade 7 Important Dates:

Wednesday May 1st – Confirmation Rehearsal @ 7pm

As noted in previous communications, we will be having our rehearsal for the students and their sponsors next Wednesday May 1st at 7pm in the church. Students must attend. Sponsors (or the proxy who is attending in their place) are also expected to attend. The practice is usually about 45 minutes.

If a proxy is attending in place of the sponsor, it is expected that they explain all the pertinent details to the sponsor so that they are prepared for the night of Confirmation.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you in advance for supporting your child throughout their journey to Confirmation.

Friday May 3rd – Saint Crests due to Mr. Kirkham

Students have been working away on this at school, but they are welcome to take it home and work on it there as well to ensure it is completed by this due date.

Thursday May 2nd – Reconciliation for Grade 7 @ 10:30am

Wednesday May 8th – Sacrament of Confirmation @ 7pm (students to arrive at 6:30pm)

More details to come next week at the rehearsal.

Have a great rest of your week!

-Mr. Kirkham
