Grade 7

Week of Monday April 1st – Friday April 5th 2024

Hello, Grade 7 Families,

Alleluia, alleluia! He is risen!

Happy Easter to all of you. I hope you have had a blessed, joyful Easter weekend.

The Grade Seven class kicked off the Easter Triduum for the students of the school on Thursday with their Last Supper presentation.

It was a powerful representation of key moments in our salvation history and more specifically the night of the last supper, Jesus’ celebration of the Passover with his apostles. Thank you to each and every student who prepared their part for the presentation!

Here is what is happening this week:

Tuesday April 2nd 2024

Tomorrow at 1pm we will have our visit with the Fatima statue that is coming to visit St. Paul parish. The custodian of the statue, Mr. Sabat, will give a 15 min talk about the statue to the students in the church, and we will have prayers and singing as well. A thorough history of this statue can be found here: https://americaneedsfatima.org/articles/how-the-most-beautiful-fatima-statue-came-to-be

Thursday April 4th – Wear PE strip (No Music)

Mr. Kelly is away this week, so a TOC will be in to hold PE classes rather than music. Students should have their PE strips with them this Thursday.

Saturday April 6th – Confirmation Retreat

This coming Saturday, April 6th, we will have our second retreat in preparation for Confirmation. The day begins with student sign-in at the Parish Centre at 8:45am followed by Mass at 9am. The day ends at 2pm. A very light snack and a pizza lunch are provided (same as we had at the previous retreat in January). Students should bring their water bottles.

Have a wonderful Easter week!

-Mr. Kirkham
