Hello, Grade Seven Families,
Happy Friday!
We have the following important dates coming up over the next two weeks:
Wednesday February 28th – Anti-Bullying Day (Pink Shirt Day)
Students can dress down and should wear a pink shirt as a show of solidarity with those who have been bullied and as a commitment to choosing kindness in all our relationships.
We will be collecting a $2 donation.
Friday March 1st – Prison Ministry Easter Cards Due
As part of our commitment to service endeavours in Grade Seven, the students are making individual Easter cards for prison inmates. Each student is expected to make 1 card (but they can do 2!), and can apply this time towards their service hour accumulation.
All criteria and instructions are on Google Classroom, in the What’s Trending?! Classroom.
Friday March 1st – Archbishop Miller School Visit
His Grace, Archbishop Michael Miller will be visiting St. Paul School and Parish. He will meet with the Grade Seven and Two classes as well as join us for an assembly. We look forward to his visit!
Wednesday March 6th – Vancouver Art Gallery
This day will be our field trip to the Vancouver Art Gallery. We will be travelling by public transit (bus and Canada Line) both to and from the gallery.
Please note that we will meet at the school at 8:00am to take attendance and then walk to the bus stop. We are unable to wait for late students, so please ensure your child is dropped off on time. Thank you! We plan to be back at the school by 1pm.
Thank you to all who have sent in the permission form. Just a reminder to those who have not yet done so, the permission form is due on Wednesday Feb 28.
Thursday March 7th – Whistler Ski Trip
We will meet at the school at 6am. We will be back at the school approximately 5:30pm. Please contact Mr. Kelly if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mr. Kirkham
