Grade 6

Week of Oct. 25-Oct. 29

Dear parents,

Hope you have had a wonderful week! This week, we began an investigation into the lives of the saints and wrote about how we can follow and imitate their actions of holiness now in our own lives. We continued to practice with decimals in math, such as multiplying and dividing decimals by whole numbers. We also reflected on how well we have been achieving the core competencies in the past two months. It was great to see everyone’s costumes today! Thank you as well to all those who were to help gain more donations for St. Paul’s School for our Walkathon fundraising. They are very much appreciated.

Next week, we will work on our book talk presentations, so please ensure your child has finished their book and is bringing it into school every day next week as the students will be writing about the different features of their book such as the settings, character, plot, etc. We will be learning more about the solar system and the sun in our new science unit on space and will be working on lessons #4-7 in our Decimals math unit.  A reminder that ski forms are also due to be handed in by next Friday.

Have a great weekend and a Happy Halloween!

Sincerely,

Mr. Graham
