Hello Grade 3 Families,
I am really pleased to see improvement in the students ability to stay focused and on task for longer periods of time. This is great, since we will be starting our Read Well program this week!
I will have one group with me at the blue table while the other students will work independently. The students working at their tables will be changing station activities every 20 minutes.
Starting this week, their spelling words will be different depending on their unit placement which was determined when they did the Read Well assessment. Also as of this week, the students will be gluing their spelling word list in their agenda for their homework practice.
The Grade 3 students will be bringing a copy of the “Apostles’ Creed” at home. It will be placed in the transparent pocket in their agenda. This is to be memorized for the oral presentations that will begin next week. The students will have some time to practice with their table groups in the classroom, but it will also be essential that they practice with you at home. Please have them memorize it one section at a time and then recite it out loud in front of you. This will also help build their confidence for when they will be reciting it in front of their peers.
I am really looking forward to meeting with you individually during the Parent Teacher Conferences that will be taking place this coming Friday! It will be great to be able share with you where your child is in their learning.
