Hello Grade 3 Families!
I hope that you are all enjoying the beautiful autumn weather and bright colours on this long weekend🍂🍁☀️!
Last week we attended a touching Remembrance Day ceremony led by the Grade 7 students. During the week the Grade 3 students also learned about the purple poppy.
They already knew that the red poppy is worn to remember and honour the soldiers who lost their lives in battle. The purple poppy is to honour the animals who worked with the soldiers that also lost their lives in battle, such as the horses, dogs, and pigeons.
This week the students will make their own rosary on Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. We already have a parent volunteer. If we could have two more, it would be greatly appreciated.
Making the rosaries is a simple procedure, but the students will need adults to monitor their work, and a parent to manage the glue gun.
Our homeroom parents have provided us with everything needed for each student to make their own rosary.
