May 1st ~ 5th

Hello Grade 3 Families!

It was wonderful to see the Grade 3 students first time participation at the track and field practices last week at Minoru Track😁💙! Practices will continue again this week. Our Track & Field Meet with St. Joseph the Worker School will be the following week on Monday, May 8th.

Last week the students chose their partners for our final team project for this year. It is in Social Studies on global aboriginal peoples.

This week they will be concluding the unit on addition & subtraction, and starting the unit on multiplication & division.

St. Paul alumni, Amanda Chui (2021), recently gave a presentation to the intermediate classes on a community project she is completing that aims to bring attention to the rising costs of food and our climate crisis. She is raising money for the Richmond Food Bank by collecting and recycling drink containers.

Amanda is asking that every student at St. Paul School bring one beverage container (empty and washed) to school on Thursday May 4th. They will be collected and the Grade 7 students will bag them. Amanda will then take them to be recycled, collect the deposits, and donate the total proceeds to the Richmond Food Bank 💜
