Week of Nov. 9 – 13

Hi Grade Two Families,

We were very blessed with the opportunity to go to Mass last Wednesday. The children participated wonderfully and were very prayerful and reverent throughout the entire Mass. They listened attentively as Fr. Smith explained the different parts of the Mass and gave the Homily. They answered questions about how they can share what they have at home and at school, like their toys or food. Then the next day when we had a visit from Fr. Joseph, they were able to reiterate what happened at Mass and what they learned from the Homily!

This week, we will continue thinking and learning about Remembrance Day and the sacrifice and service many men and women. We made poppy art last week and listened to the sounds and songs we typically hear on that day. We will be having a virtual Assembly on Tuesday to remind us of the importance this day has for our country and community. Lest we forget.

Looking Ahead:

  • Thursday, Nov. 19 ~ dress down day
    • The theme for the dress down day is “Where is the first place that you would like to go on vacation when the COVID-19 pandemic is over?”
    • You can wear shirts from the place, colours of the flag or anything that helps represent the place
    • Please make sure they are appropriately dressed for the weather and for school
  • Friday, Nov. 20 ~ no school (professional day)
