Gr. 6’s and 7’s going to Richmond Cultural Centre this Sunday, Sep. 30th

Hello!

This is my very first time writing a post on St. Paul’s blog.

There is Orchestral Instrument Petting Zoo happening at Richmond Cultural Centre Atrium this Sunday, September 30th, from 10:30am-1:00pm.

This is a free workshop where you can try out and experience different types of instruments. This is held by Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra, sponsored by Long & McQuade.

Since gr. 6’s and 7’s will start a new band in January, this might be an opportunity for students to try out different instruments to think ahead what they want to play. This is not mandatory and I won’t be there.

It is okay if you miss it; I am going to invite clinicians from Long & McQuade to school in December for you to try out different band instruments anyway.

FYI, except for the bass guitar, band instruments do not include string instruments whereas orchestra does.

Their website is http://www.rdyo.ca/cultural-days-2018/.

The address for Richmond Cultural Centre is:

7700 Minoru Gate

Richmond, BC.

Have a great weekend!

Shalom,

Mr. Yang
