Hi Kinder Families,

A short but very exciting week! We celebrated both St. Valentine’s and 100th Day of School! We hope you had a wonderful Family Day with your loved ones. This week, we will be acknowledging and supporting anti-bullying with Pink Shirt Day and starting our Lenten Season with Ash Wednesday.

Homework:

  1. Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of home reading (please use “My Reading” book, “My Read Well” book, online reading programs, library books, or books from home)
  2. Open Parachute– We have continued our “Frustration, Motivation & Growth Mindset” unit. In your child’s “SEL” duotang (purple duotang), are the lessons from the past weeks. Please continue to review and discuss it with your child. You can also access the OpenParachute Parent Resources here
  3. I’m A Gift From God- We have started a new unit as part of our Christian Education Program. Please review Lesson 1 & complete the Lesson 1 Home activity on Page 2. Please return the Student Workbook by Tuesday, February 21st
  4. Cloth Bags- Please empty their treats and return the bag to school by Tuesday, February 21st. 
  5. Brighouse Library Books- There are a few books that have yet to be returned to the Richmond Public Library. They are overdue, so please return them to the Brighouse location as soon as you can. Let us know if you are unsure of the book your child borrowed and we can double check!

Friendly Reminders:

  1. Socks- With the Winter season in full swing and the expected rain (or snow), we suggest packing an extra pair of socks in your child’s backpack, just in case.
  2. Scholastic Reading Club– The February Catalogue can be viewed online here. Reminder it is optional to order, but if you do please enter Kindergarten’s class code RC318627 at checkout so that we can receive rewards for our classroom! Thank you in advance for your support.
  3. Lenten School Mass – We look forward to seeing you at morning Mass! Reminder that Mass is at 8:15 am to accommodate families. Please have your children sit in the front rows with the rest of the school staff and students.
