Hello parents,
Today we celebrated the First Sunday of Advent (the first Sunday of the new church year). Over the remaining 3 weeks of school, we will be exploring the Infancy Narratives in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke to better understand how we should be focusing our minds and hearts during the season of Advent.
As per usual, December is also a busy time with Christmas Concert preparation, basketball practices, and our class Christmas party.
Class Christmas Party
The Grade 7 Christmas Party will take place on Monday December 9th from 11:45am – 1:45pm-ish.
Thank you to all you who have helped to organize and bring food to the festive party! The students will be providing games and a theme – stay tuned!
Christmas Concert – “The Best Present of All”
The Christmas Concert this year is somewhat like a variety show (songs, skits, videos) and is entitled “The Best Present of All”. It will take place on Tuesday December 17th at 7pm.
Student performers have been hard at work preparing their skits and videos and the classes are busy learning their songs and we look forward to presenting an evening filled with joy, laughs and the true meaning of Christmas.
Thank you to all of you that have been getting your children to morning practices over the past four weeks! Two weeks to go 🙂
