Holy Week Update

Hello everyone,

This past Friday, April 8th, we remembered Justice Guno at our morning Lenten Mass. It would have been his 14th birthday. Please continue to pray for the repose of the soul of Justice, as well as for the Holy Spirit to fill his family (Gerald, Linelle and Caitlin) with strength, hope and peace. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)

Holy Week

Yesterday we celebrated Palm Sunday, which begins Holy Week in our church calendar.

On Friday, the Grade 7’s made “palm leaves” with their Kindergarten buddies and reenacted Jesus’ triumphant entry into the city of Jerusalem (or in our case, our walk to PE).

Last Supper Presentation – Thursday April 14th @ 11am

As well, the Grade Seven’s will be leading the Holy Thursday presentation for the school on April 14th at 11am in the gym. We will be connecting and dramatizing Jesus’ last supper with his apostles and the Passover meal described in the Book of Exodus. The students have been working hard to put this together and all students have a part in the presentation!

We encourage you to join us in the gym this Thursday.

Good Friday – No School

Easter Monday – No School

Outdoor Education – Tuesday April 26 – Friday April 29th

The students were given a package of forms regarding our Outdoor Education trip, which will take palace in just over 2 weeks!

Please carefully go through the forms. There are three pages that require you to fill in information and payment of $100 is required. Please return these forms and payment by Thursday April 21st.

Student Led Conferences

If you have not already done so, please sign up for a time slot for Student Led Conferences, which take place on Friday April 22nd. A form was sent on home on Friday about this.

Thank you and have a wonderful, blessed Holy Week!

-Mr. Kirkham
