Dear parents,
This week, we worked on financial literacy, studied human rights issues of the past and present, and learned about the different parts of our solar system.
One of the activities that the kids did that they really enjoyed was planning a zoo with a million-dollar budget-congratulations to Joshua who had the most visitors at his zoo! We also enjoyed and are grateful for our new Smartboard!
Next week, we will continue to practice with taxes, costs, expenses, and budgets in preparation for our final literacy assignment. Students will begin researching and writing a biography essay about a prominent human rights figure next week.
Finally, a word of thanks for your kind birthday wishes this past week-you helped make my first out of Ontario birthday a memorable one!
