Update for Grade 7

First off, congratulations are in order to the boys volleyball team on their 3rd place finish at the CISVA Harry Jerome playoffs! Thank you Ms. Costales for her great coaching and to the boys for their hard work and dedication.

Also, well done to the girls volleyball team for their top 8 finish at the girls CISVA Harry Jerome playoffs. Thank you to Ms. Guevara for her great coaching and to the girls for their hard work and dedication.

Christmas play practices continue and we are making great progress! Please check the weekly schedule for your practice time. Next week’s schedule will be posted tomorrow on Google Classroom, Thursday November 22nd. The performance for parents will take place on Tuesday December 18th at 7pm.

Thank you to Ray Kirkham (my dad!) – trumpet, Gordon Cherry – trombone, and Richard Mingus – French Horn, known as Trilogy Brass and all former members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for 35+ years, for their performance yesterday at St. Paul school. This was a great primer for the Long and McQuade instrument fair at St. Paul School next Thursday November 29th for Grade 6 & 7 students!

Our plastic recycling program is going great. Check out this picture of how much we took in for just one week! A reminder to you that you can also be doing this recycling at home and taking your plastics to the Richmond Recycling Depot at 555 Lynas Lane in Richmond. Thank you for doing your part to reduce plastic pollution in our local environment!
