Grade 7

Last Week Before Winter Break (Christmas Concert Update)

Hi, Grade 7 Parents,

First off, thank you to all of you for contributing food, beverages and ambience to our class Advent party this past Tuesday. The students had a great time! Thank you especially to Nicole Wong, Vanessa Cham and Valerie Guevara for organizing! Also, thank you for your most generous Christmas gift, I greatly appreciate your generosity.

Christmas Concert Details

We had our first run through today of our Christmas concert production, True Stories of Christmas. It was so wonderful to see all the performers in their costumes practicing their scenes and listening to the classes sing their songs on the stage.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Parish Centre Gym to watch one (or both!) of our performances which will be held this Tuesday December 19th @ 1pm and 6:45pm.

I have included some important details regarding Tuesday’s performances, please read all of the information carefully:

Once again, there will be two performances on Tuesday December 19th:

  • An afternoon matinee at 1:00 pm
  • An evening performance at 6:45 pm.

For the matinee performance at 1:00pm, students come to school in uniform and will change into their costumes at lunch. It will be a regular dismissal time of 3:00pm.

For the evening show, while all other classes will report to their classroom first, the Grade Seven cast and stage crew should be in Parish Centre Rooms 1/2 by 6:10 pm to change into their costumes.

The doors to the gym for parents opening at 6:15 pm.  Please be aware that all seats are first come, first serve basis and there has traditionally been a lineup before the gym doors open for the evening show. While I find all seats are good seats, please plan accordingly if you would like to sit closer to the front 🙂

Seat Saving – You may save seats for immediate family members only.  Please do NOT save seats, or spots in line, for other families.  We want to keep seating fair for all families.

Photos/Video – Please be mindful of those around you when using your camera so as not to block the view of those behind you. The show will be videotaped and a link will be made available in the new year, free of charge, to anyone who is interested.

Please DO enjoy the show!  The performers have been working very hard over the past six weeks on their scenes and the classes have been practicing their songs in eager anticipation to share them with you. So please, clap, cheer, sing along and participate in the magical event that is a children’s Christmas Concert. There may also be a treat from the teachers in there somewhere…

Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming you to our show on Tuesday!

Last Day of School – Friday December 22nd
