Grade 6

Sept. 20th to Sept. 24th

This week, we finished up our unit in Patterning and Equations. We also learned about suspensions, colloids, and emulsions in science, and continued to practice our paragraph writing. We finished reading Anne of Green Gables-the Graphic novel in class. Many students were quite moved by the ending.

We also finished our first round of the Bookolympics-congratulations to our winners and thanks to all students for your enthusiastic participation in reading! The next round of the Bookolympics will end Friday, Oct. 8th.

Next week we will commemorate Truth and Reconciliation on Wednesday. Students are invited to bring in $2 to make a donation for the Orange Shirt Society. It is a dress-down day and students are asked to wear an orange shirt (or something else that is orange) as a way to honour this day. A reminder there is no school on Thursday.

Our Walkathon will also happen this coming Friday. Thanks in advance to the parents who will be walking with us!

Enjoy your weekend!
