Grade 3

May 6th ~ 10th

Hello Grade 3 Families!

In religion the students have completed “I Am A Gift From God”. They will be bringing their booklets home on Monday. Within the lesson unit it is suggested that you occasionally go over the ways explained in the book, with your child, on how they can protect themselves from ill-intentioned people.

Our focus in religion throughout the month of May will be Mother Mary. At the beginning of the week we will have a classroom discussion on the reasons why she is the perfect disciple. Then the Grade 3 students will start to write a paragraph using a 4 square method approach, on how we can be more like her.

On Monday the students will start to do their oral presentations on the topic that they chose. Your child’s presentation will be posted in their ClassDojo portfolio for you to be able to enjoy watching it with them.

After having watched it with your child, please ask them what they liked the most about their presentation, and the areas where they feel that they could improve. This will help your child in further developing their critical thinking skills.
