Grade 1

Week of Sept. 19-23

Hi Grade One Families,

We had a wonderful first full week with the Grade Ones! We only managed to call them the wrong grade a couple of times 🙂  September is an important month as we build the foundations of Grade One. There will be opportunities to discuss and learn about having a growth mindset, being flexible, using calming strategies, working well in various classroom situations, and being a considerate classmate and friend. We will also practice various skills that will be needed for small group work when we have learning and practice stations.  Wrapped around all of this is having fun with classmates, being a good listener, using working time effectively, and exploring many hands on ways of learning, exploring, sharing and cooperating.

We look forward to meeting you at the Meet the Teacher night on Tuesday!
