Grade 1

Week of November 20-24

Hi Grade One Families,

Throughout the month of November, we have been learning about the Saints. We first talked about what a saint is and then began reading stories about the lives of different saints. We will continue our learning by reflecting on what we can do in our own lives to answer the call to be saints.

In Language Arts, we have completed the UFLI Alphabet Review and Longer Words Unit and are exploring the UFLI Digraph Unit. Please continue to review your child’s UFLI reading resources found in their Home Reading Folders. In math, we have started to look at data collection and using tally marks.

This month we have also completed the first Open Parachute unit Growth Mindset at school and have begun the second unit Feel, Heal & Connect. Please continue to support your child at home by completing the Open Parachute Home Unit.
