Hello Grade Five Families!
This week we will celebrate Hallowtide which you may know as All Hallow’s Eve, All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day. Each of these days will be celebrated at school with Halloween on Tuesday, an All Saints’ Day activity with our buddies on Wednesday, and an All Souls’ Day Mass at 9:15am on Thursday (led by Fr. Smith and the Grade 5 class). We hope that you can join us on Thursday morning for Mass as we begin our month of praying for all of the faithful departed in our families and community.
Please note the following for this week:
Monday
- all library books need to be returned to school
- PE class ~ PE strip is needed
- Yummy Pasta hot lunch for those who ordered ~ please make sure that your child brings cutlery to school for this hot lunch
Tuesday ~ All Hallow’s Eve (Halloween)
- students will meet in the covered area at 8:45am (the doors will be closed until this time)
- students may come to school in their Halloween costume or orange and black clothes (please read the Thursday letter for costume guidelines)
- if you are sending candies to school for your child to give out to classmates, please make sure that the candies are nut-free and please note that there are 28 students in Grade 5 this year
Wednesday ~ All Saints’ Day
- we will be doing All Saints’ Day activities in the morning as a class and in the afternoon with our Grade One buddies
- PE class ~ PE strip is needed
Thursday ~ All Souls’ Day
- please join us for Mass at 9:15am in the Church
Friday
- please join us for the Assembly at 9:00am in the gym
- PE class ~ PE strip is needed
- Fukuroku hot lunch for those who ordered
- information regarding your child’s Interim Update will be sent at the end of the day via email
