Grade 1

Week of Nov. 28 – Dec. 2

Hi Grade One Families,

Nov. 30th will be Mrs. Teodosio’s last day before she goes on maternity leave. All the best to you, Mr. Teodosio, and Catie as you welcome a new bundle of joy to your beautiful family. We will be thinking of you and sending you lots of love during your maternity leave. We will miss you so much, so please come back and visit!

This past Thursday, during Mass, Father Felix blessed our classroom Advent wreath, reminding us that the season of Advent is upon us! The season of Advent is such a special time of the year. It is four weeks that we are given to prepare and wait with joyful anticipation for the coming of our Saviour at Christmas. Just as we prepare our homes for special guests, so we are more importantly called to prepare our hearts for Jesus at Christmas. We will have a special Advent calendar to help us prepare for Jesus that will be sent home and shared on the blog this week. May our Advent be blessed with quiet reflection, prayerful moments, generosity toward others, and joyful anticipation.

St. Paul’s Advent Charity Project for 2022 supports Blanket BC Society. Blanket BC collects warm blankets (new or gently used) as well as new toques, gloves/mittens, scarves, and socks for children and adults. Along with any new or gently used blankets, the Grade 1 class has been asked to bring in a new Children’s toque. Please bring all donations between December 5th-9th.
