Hello Grade One Families!
This coming week, we begin the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday. Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, the students will explore the ways they can grow closer to Jesus during Lent. Starting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, we will attend morning Mass at 8:15 am everyday together. All students are strongly encouraged to attend Mass together with their school community. There is an area for backpacks, and a reserved section for the students in the front to sit with the teachers. Mass starts at 8:15 am, so please arrive on time. Parents are also welcome and encouraged to stay for Mass too!
This week we look forward to many celebrations! On Tuesday, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day and on Wednesday, we begin our Lenten journey with Ash Wednesday. We look forward to celebrating with your children, and also for Family Day long weekend. Please note there is no school on Thursday, Friday, and Monday.
A reminder that the students’ February CSL reports were sent home last week. If you have still not handed in your folder, envelope, and 2 stars and 1 wish, please do so on Monday. The children also have their next Socials Inquiry projects! Please see email for more information and keep a look out for their folders. These are due back on Monday, February 26th. Please send them back in the same folders. Thank you!
