This week, Kindergarten explored nature by identifying examples of God’s creation around them! We also discussed the signs of Autumn and investigated this seasonal change by using our sense of sight to find different coloured leaves during our first nature walk.

Friendly reminders:

  1. Homework folders– these will continue to be sent home every day. Please check the folders daily and send them back to school every day as your child is expected to hand them in each morning.
  2. My Reading” book– this will be sent home every day. Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of daily reading with your child and place this book inside your child’s homework folder every day
  3. My Read Well” book– starting on Monday, your child will be bringing home another book in their homework folder. This book contains all of your children’s work in our Language Arts Program “Read Well.” Please review the letter of the week and use the “Parent Prompt” questions (found at the bottom of each page) with your child.
  4. Field trip– The Pumpkin Patch permission form is now overdue. Please send it in on Monday if you haven’t already done so. Thank you to the parents that have already returned it and especially to those that are able to join us! The more, the merrier!
  5. Sweaters – Please check your child’s school sweater(s) to ensure they have their own, as we have had a few incidents of lost sweaters. We also kindly remind you to label your child’s sweater so that they can be returned, if they go missing.

Upcoming Dates:

  1. Monday, October 14th – Thanksgiving (No School)
  2. Tuesday, October 15th – Pumpkin Patch field trip
  3. Friday, October 18th – Learning Conference Day (No Regular Classes)
