This week, the students explored nature by finding examples of God’s creations outdoors. We also had great discussions about the signs of Autumn and investigated these changes using our sense of sight, hearing, and touch.

  1. 10 to 15 minutes of home reading (please use “My Reading” book, “My Read Well” book, and books from home)


Friendly reminders:

  1. Homework folders– Please continue to check these daily and send them back to school everyday with your child. Each morning the children hand these in.
  2. My reading” book– Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of daily reading with your child and place this book inside your child’s homework folder everyday
  3. Read Well” book– This book contains all of your children’s work in our Language Arts Program “Read Well.” Please review the letter of the week and use the “Parent Prompt” questions with your child, located at the bottom of your child’s record page.
  4. Class Dojo – Our Class Dojo feed and student portfolios are up and running! Please make sure you are connected to our class so you can access your child’s digital portfolio. Let us know if you need a second invitation sent out.
  5. Fun Friends- We will begin this Social-Emotional Learning program next week. A yellow booklet will be sent home with your child so please check the blog every week to see which sessions to follow at home with them.
  6. Clothing Drive – Please bring in any clothes that you would like to donate to the Developmental Disabilities Association by dropping them off to our classroom by Tuesday, October 16th.


Upcoming Dates:

  1.  Monday, October 22nd– Photo Orders Due (order forms will be sent home on Monday)
  2. Tuesday, October 23rd– Pumpkin Patch field trip
  3. Wednesday, October 31st– Halloween (more details to come)
