Kindergarten

May 4th-8th

This week, Kindergarten attended our School Mass online! They were reminded that even though we can’t gather as a community to be with Jesus at church right now, we can still welcome him into our homes. Speaking of coming together, it was so nice getting to be with you and seeing your wonderful smiles at the Car Parade this morning! You filled our hearts with so much happiness and we cannot wait until we’re all together again.

  • Circle Time: Kindergarten will be having Circle Time this Wednesday from 9:00-10:00 via Zoom. Please note there is a dress-up theme that your child is encouraged to wear and a question that your child is asked to answer on Wednesday.
  • Specialist Thursday (*please note the change from Wednesdays to Thursdays): Children will be given designated work blocks on Thursday to complete their specialist subject activities (French, Music, and PE).
    • With Zoom now up and running, if specialist teachers choose to host their own live class, their following time slots will be:

    • Moms please do your best to NOT help your children with upcoming Mother’s Day theme exploration activities, as we would love for them to be a surprise for you (as best as they can be).

Homework:

  1. 10 to 15 minutes of reading
  2. Fun Friends- Please work on Session 11 and discuss “Support Teams” with your child.
  3. “Hail Mary” prayer – Please find a copy of the Hail Mary attached and practice praying it every night with your child. We will begin incorporating it into our Morning Prayer routine starting on Monday.

Friendly Reminders:

  • Mother’s Day Tea RSVP: Reminder that our Mother’s Day Tea Party is this Friday. If you have not already, please let us know if you can make it!
  • Zoom: We look forward to beginning online face-to-face interaction with your children now that the licenced version of Zoom, from the Ministry of Education, has been approved!
    • Thank you to those who have confirmed to meet with us on Monday for a check-in! If you would still like to meet but haven’t confirmed a time, please let us know by Sunday @ noon.
    • Kindergarten will be having weekly Circle Time every Wednesday morning on Zoom. This gives us an opportunity to check in with each other, as a class, and our hope is that this will help create a remote-learning community!
