We are well along our Lenten journey towards Easter! The children have enthusiastically sang their Lent Song every day this week and are doing such a great job keeping their Lenten promises! Each morning, the students colour in a box along their Lenten journey and are looking forward to tracking more of their Lenten journey over Spring Break.

  1. 10 to 15 minutes of home reading– (please use “My Reading” book, “My Read Well” book, online reading programs, library books, or books from home)
  2. Mite Boxes- Mite boxes and prayer cards have been sent home for the Lenten season. These are due back to school on Wednesday, March 31st
  3. I’m a Gift from God-  we have begun the program “I’m a Gift from God”. Please be sure to see weekly emails with details on homework due dates.
  4. Lenten Journey- At the end of next week, your child will be taking home their Lenten Journey sheet to fill out over Spring Break. Please put this sheet somewhere your child will see (i.e. refrigerator, desk, etc.) and remember to colour in one box for each day of Lent during Spring Break. Please return this sheet to school after the break so that the children can continue to fill it in, in class.

Friendly Reminders:

  1. Emails- please send emails to both Mrs. D and Miss Comerford ( and
  2. Homework folders– Please continue to check these daily and send them back to school every day with your child. Each morning the children hand these in.
  3. My Reading” book– This will be sent home every day. Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of daily reading with your child and place this book inside your child’s homework folder every day.
  4. My Read Well” book–This book contains all of your children’s work in our Language Arts Program “Read Well.” Please review the letter of the week and use the “Parent Prompt” questions (found on the bottom of the page) with your child.
  5. Toys – Just a friendly reminder that unless it is your child’s show and tell, please be sure to keep toys at home, so that they don’t get lost or broken at school.
  6. Spring Break – Reminder that Friday, March 12th, is the last day of school before Spring Break. The first day back will be on Monday, March 29th.   We wish you all a safe and relaxing Spring Break!
