Can you believe Spring Break is already over and that Holy Week is here? We hope that all families had a relaxing Spring Break and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather. Beginning today, Palm Sunday, we enter into Holy Week. We look forward to seeing all our friends tomorrow, and learning all about Holy Week and the immense love that Jesus showed for all of us.

  1. 10 to 15 minutes of home reading– (please use “My Reading” book, “My Read Well” book, RAZ Kids, Epic!Books, library books, or books from home)
  2. Mite Boxes- Mite boxes and prayer cards have been sent home for the Lenten season. These are due back to school on Wednesday, March 31st.
  3. I’m a Gift from God-  we will continue the program “I’m a Gift from God”. Please be sure to see weekly emails with details on homework due dates.
  4. Lenten Journey- At the end of Spring Break, please return this sheet to school after the break so that the children can continue to fill it in, in class.

Friendly Reminders:

  1. Emails- please send emails to both Mrs. D and Miss Comerford ( and
  2. Homework folders– Please continue to check these daily and send them back to school every day with your child. Each morning the children hand these in.
  3. My Reading” book– This will be sent home every day. Please continue 10 to 15 minutes of daily reading with your child and place this book inside your child’s homework folder every day.
  4. My Read Well” book–This book contains all of your children’s work in our Language Arts Program “Read Well.” Please review the letter of the week and use the “Parent Prompt” questions (found on the bottom of the page) with your child.
  5. Toys – Just a friendly reminder that unless it is your child’s show and tell, please be sure to keep toys at home, so that they don’t get lost or broken at school.
  6. Hair Accessories- a friendly reminder that all hair accessories must be school colours (blue, yellow, or white).

  7. Monday, April 5th– Easter Monday (No School)
  8. Friday, April 9th– Fukuroku Hot Lunch (for those who ordered)
  9. Friday, April 9th– Panorama & Class Photo Day
