Hello Grade 5 Families!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend with your families and friends! I’m thankful to be in the loving community of St. Paul!

And a congratulations do those who participated in the St.Paul/St. Joe’s Garry Point Fun Run! We were blessed with a beautiful day and they all did their very best! Check out ClassDojo for some pictures!

Our featured image this week is a card your children surprised me with this week! They are such an incredibly thoughtful bunch and I was delighted by their small act of kindness they showed me! 😄

Friendly Reminders:  

  1. Richmond Olympic Oval Field Trip Forms: A reminder that forms for our upcoming field trip to the Richmond Olympic Oval is due on Tuesday, October 15th.
  2. Filming Permission & Release Forms: A reminder that forms for Ava’s cousin’s Documentary is due on Tuesday, October 15th. He will be in for his first day of filming this Thursday, October 17th.
  3. Lunch Provided: In celebration of Matthew’s birthday, the Tam Family has graciously offered to provide a pizza lunch for the class on Tuesday, October 15th! If your child does not want pizza, please ensure to provide them with a lunch that day.
  4. Learning Conferences: Registration to book an appointment for the Conference Day this Thursday, October 18th opened on Friday. Please ensure that you are booked for a time slot to meet!
  5. Cold Weather Attire: As the weather has dropped in the last week, a reminder to please be have appropriate outerwear; jackets, gloves, scarves, and/or toques
