Grade 5

Week of May 6 – 10

Hi Grade 5 Families,

We successfully participated in our various Almsgiving Activities this past week! We had groups of children; donating clothes and books, donating their time to help Mrs. Ong in the office and donating their energy and money through a bake sale.

Our featured image this week a glimpse into our Government unit. We had started an inquiry called “Survivor Island”. The students were given a situation in which they had become stranded on an island during a class trip. They must decide as a group what they would do – would they have a leader, how do they get their food, etc. We had just started, so we will share our ideas next week! But they were very engaged and enthusiastic about the possibilities!
