Grade 5

Week of March 11 – 15

Hi Grade 5 Families,

We officially started the season of Lent with our Ash Wednesday Mass. As a school, we are making sacrifices for Lent, by making an effort to go to daily Mass. As a class,we are keeping track of the different deeds we do with a Lenten calendar while doing daily reflection. Looking forward to another wonderful week – last one before Spring Break!

Our featured image this week is from an SEL – Social Emotional Learning activity we did as a class. We read extracts from our class novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where two of the characters’ bad behaviour are highlighted. We talked about the poor choices they made the good choices they could have made. In partners, the children were given situations and discussed the different choices they would make if they were, or have been, in that situation. It was a great reflection exercise in decision making!
