Good Evening Grade 5 Families!
What a much better looking day today than we’ve had the past few. While you were all probably bundled up at home avoiding the rain, myself and the rest of our staff were in Vancouver reflecting on our practice, learning new things and, if you were like me, furiously writing things down to bring back to our classroom.
Here is our Week at a Glance:
-French and DARE
-Our Digital Literacy and Library block will be used this week for a presentation by Safer Schools (please still return library books)
-Reminder that our Pulp Mill Debate notes are due on Google Classroom & Math Lesson 2 practice questions
-Hot lunch for those that ordered
-Life Touch photo order form due today
-Mass at 11:00~please join us!
-French & Music
-3 Way Conference Day: Reminder that you need to sign up for your appointment time online. Each session is 10 minutes long and students are asked to be dressed in full uniform. I am looking forward to discussing learning goals for this year!
-Reminder that Halloween is a Dress Down day and students are invited to wear their costumes or black and orange clothing.
-Special note: I no longer ask that parents sign their child’s agenda each night. I will continue to do so at school to ensure homework is being recorded. Of course, I encourage you to check over but no need to continue with the signatures as I will not look at their agendas the next morning unless there is a note from home inside.
If you have any questions, concerns or comments please feel free to email me!
See you on Friday!
