Hello Grade 3 Families!
Sorry for the delay…. It seems like it didn’t go through yesterday.
I hope that you have enjoyed going over your child’s digital interim report on ClassDojo with them to see where they are in their learning. They are progressively becoming more independent and did some of the postings on their own! Please make sure that you fill out the form with your child on the back of the interim report informational handout that they brought home. It is to be handed in on Thursday.
This week we will continue to honour those who have passed, and particularly the soldiers who fought for our freedom, as we approach Remembrance Day. In Grade 3 we will also be honouring the animals who served our country during the war by adding purple poppies to our Remembrance Day art activity.
Each student that brings a $2 donation will be given a poppy on Thursday. The poppies are used to raise money for veterans and to remember those who died in World War 1. Please have your child bring their $2 donation for the veterans to school by Wednesday: We will be having a special Remembrance Day assembly Thursday morning, and this will allow us to save time.
Last week the students started to pray the Rosary prayers using a rosary with their table group. We will continue to do this throughout the month of November. We will also be looking at the attributes of several saints and how we can live our faith by following the examples they modeled in their love of God.
The date for the Walkathon pizza lunch has been decided. It will be on Tuesday, the 14th of November.
