Kindergarten

October 4-8

This week, Kindergarten worked hard to lead their first school assembly with their Grade 7 Buddies! Thank you, parents, for practicing the Guardian Angel prayer with them at home. They did an excellent job reciting it in front of the whole school!

On Wednesday, the children also wore orange in support of Orange Shirt Day. To help them better understand the importance of this day, we read a story about Phyllis’ Orange Shirt, discussed the difference between kind and unkind actions, and decorated our own orange t-shirts.

We then ended the week with a very successful Walk-a-thon! Thank you to all the parents for your constant support and a special thank you to the many moms and dads who were able to walk with our class. The children, albeit a little tired at the end, had a wonderful first Walk-a-thon!
