Grade 4

October 11-15

Dear Grade Four Families,

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you enjoy this long weekend with your family. The students worked really hard today at the Garry Point Endurance Challenge. Thank you for your support with the event and they will rest well tonight!

This week in class the students have been working really hard across all subjects! They also did a wonderful job leading mass celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary yesterday. A big thank you to Sydney, Faith, Max and Damien for reading so well.

In Christian Education, they have made great progress on their group project where they are creating Liturgical Year board games to showcase their learning. One student from each group will bring it home tonight and next week to finish up small tasks they have assigned to each member. The goal is to have them done by next Friday.

In Social Studies this week, we have been continuing to learn about First Peoples, the importance of respecting the land and land acknowledgements.

In Language Arts this week we have been practicing using the RACE strategy when writing.

In Art, the students began a moonlit pumpkin pastel project which they will finish next week. We look forward to sharing the final product with you!

We have also started a new unit in Math on Patterns & Equations (unit 1).
