Grade 4

November 21 – 25

Dear Grade Four Families,

Time is flying by! We have already started our countdown to Christmas break, there are exactly 27 days to go! Here are some new topics we are exploring in Grade 4:

Language Arts: We have started personal narrative paragraph writing. The students are working on writing with a topic sentence, 3 detailed sentences and a concluding sentence.

Math: Representing numbers using base ten blocks and writing them using standard, expanded, and word form.

Christian Education: Order of the Mass and Mass responses.

Open Parachute: We completed our last lesson of the Being a Good Friend unit.

  • Please ensure you are following along at home with your child.

Science: We completed an experiment to determine how animals see in the dark. Check-out your child’s findings on Google Classroom!

As the students missed their Library time on Monday, they had the opportunity to take out new books on Friday for the weekend. Please return these on Monday and we will return to our regular library schedule. If students have overdue books, they were not able to take out new ones. Please ensure all library books are returned on Monday.
