HAPPY HALLOWEEN…FROM THE STAFF OF ST. PAUL SCHOOL
Dear Grade Four Families,
This was truly a different year for Halloween! Even though we weren’t able to exchange any candies or goodies with each other in class, I think the kids still had a great time with the Halloween activities that I prepared for them. They were able to learn their Halloween name, learn some facts about spiders and eerie creatures, and they enjoyed drawing MANY Halloween pictures from Art Hub for Kids. We had a Zoom dance party with the entire school and sang C’est L’Halloween in French class. If you chose to go out for Halloween last night, I hope your child had a good time. This was the first year in 19 years that I did not have to take my kids out for trick-or-treating. However, I saw a lot of posts on social media on how people creatively distributed candies from a distance!
I am proud of how the students have now settled into the classroom. They are now able to work quietly, stay on task, and help one another. There have been so many times when I’ve asked the kids to stop working and clean up, and they’ve all moaned “NO!” It brings me so much joy to see them all wanting to keep working and learning!
Class Dojo Portfolio – I’ve uploaded work into your child’s portfolio for you to look at with their Interim report (which was sent home on Friday). I hope you’ve had a chance to sit down with your child to discuss each piece of work.
