Dear Grade Four Families,
It was wonderful welcoming the students back to school after their Christmas break! We dived into learning right away and started some interesting new topics!
In Math, we started multiplication facts from 0-12 and representing equations using repeated addition, arrays, equal groups, and skip-counting.
Today, we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany with a visit from Father Felix. The students then picked a gift they would bring to Jesus and created a visual for it using watercolors.
It was World Braille Day on January 4th, and as the students have explored a lot about the senses in Science, they were excited to use this special code to create their names using flat and raised paper. Please see the photos below.
In Social Studies, we started our new unit in our textbook titled “Judging the Impact.” We will be analyzing the impact the fur trade and colonization had on the First Peoples of Canada.
