Kindergarten

January 10-14

Hi Kindergarten Families,

Happy New Year!! We hope you all had a blessed Christmas holiday filled with warmth, love, and happiness! May the time spent with family bring you joy that lasts throughout the year.

In December, Kindergarten’s superpower was Generosity and the children learned about how St. Nick gave to others to show his love. Ms. Guevara and I felt the same love this Christmas season and were overwhelmed by your kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generous Christmas gifts, cards, and wishes. We are so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school community and  can’t wait to see what the new year will bring!

  3. My Read Well” book– Please review the letter of the week and use the “Parent Prompt” questions (found on the bottom of the page) with your child.
    • If you notice that your child has not finished the back of their Letter Record page in class, please brainstorm with them three words that begin with that letter. Then, have them write down the three words on the dotted lines and draw their corresponding pictures in the blank box.

Friendly Reminders:

  1. Homework folders– These will continue to be sent home every day. Please check the folders daily and send them back to school every day as your child is expected to hand them in each morning.

  3. Winter Wear– Winter has come into full swing! Your child is expected to come to school with a thick jacket, scarves, boots, mittens/gloves and toques to wear while outside during recess. PE classes will also be outdoors next week, rain or shine, so please dress warmly! Please see the PE blog for more information.
