Grade 3

September 30th-October 4th

Hello Grade 3 Families!

It was a real pleasure to walk with the Grade 3 students and the parents who were able to volunteer for the Walk-A-Thon! We enjoyed making connections with what we were learning in science, and to top it all off, we had beautiful weather^^*  Please make sure that your child brings in the Walk-A-Thon pledge sheets and money as soon as possible. Thank you!

Congratulations to the students who will going to the CISVA cross-country run at Swangard Stadium this coming Wednesday! Please read the PE blog for further details.  Good luck!

Our first field trip will be on Monday morning, November 4th, to the Vancouver Maritime Museum. The Grade 3 students will explore the fully restored St. Roch, and analyze the relationships between the Mounties, the Inuit and the animals in the Arctic that led to their successful voyage and their famous accomplishments.  We will be taking a bus to the museum.

On Tuesday the students will be bringing home the form that needs to be filled in by you for your child to be able to participate. It will be in their transparent agenda pocket. Please fill it out as soon as possible and have them bring it back to school by Friday.

I will need 6 parent volunteers. If you are interested please let me know by filling in the parent volunteer section at the bottom of the form.

There is no fee for the students or the parent volunteers.
