Grade 3

November 8th~12th

Hello Grade 3 Families!

I hope that you enjoyed going over your child’s digital interim report with them. They are progressively becoming more independent and did several of the postings on their own^^*

This week we will continue to honour those who have passed away, and particularly the soldiers who fought for our freedom, as we approach Remembrance Day. Each student will be given a poppy on Wednesday. The poppies are used to raise money for veterans and to remember those who died in World War 1.

Please have your child bring their $2 donation for the veterans to school by Tuesday: we have a special Remembrance Day assembly Wednesday morning and this will allow us to save time.

This week the students will also start to pray the Rosary prayers using a rosary with their group. Please have them bring a rosary to school by Tuesday.

On Wednesday we will be having the Walkathon pizza lunch, so there will be no need for the students to bring their own lunch on that day^^*

This week is a very short week of only 3 days, so there will be no spelling words to practice at home.
