Week of Sept. 21 – 28

Hello Grade Two Families!

We had our first complete week of Grade 2! It was full of learning and getting back into the swing of things. We engaged in a lot of discussions abut how we can be like Jesus and walk alongside Him, what a great classroom looks, sounds and feels like and what reading and stories can do. We had hands-on practice with making patterns, reading books and writing using our neat printing. I was very impressed by their focus and determination to ensure that they put their best foot forward.

We will be continuing these discussions as we learn more over the next few months. Please see the learning overview below to find out what themes we will be covering. Over the next little while, you will see some pictures and videos of our class and your own child’s learning on Class Dojo.

General Reminders:

Home Reading ~ We will begin our home reading this week. We will be using RAZ Kids, just like you did in Grade 1 when you were learning from home. There will be a blog posted on Tuesday under Class Info with more information.

Monday

  • Return new health assessment form in your child’s agenda pocket
  • PE today

Tuesday

  • French and Music today
  • RAZ Kids log in information will be sent home

Wednesday

  • PE today at 9:00 am
    • Students come to school wearing their PE strip
    • Please make sure their complete uniform is in their backpack
    • They will change into their gym shoes at school
  • French class today
  • Dismissal at 2 pm today (1:45 – 2:00 or 2:00-2:15)

Thursday

  • PE today

  • Last day to submit Fukuroku hot lunch orders (please put it in
