Hi Grade Two Families!
We had a great first two days of school last week! It was so wonderful to see the class together with their big smiles and their enthusiasm for school. They have done a fantastic job with the new routines, wearing their masks, washing their hands and being kind friends.
We will spend this week continuing to practice these routines, reacquainting ourselves, finding out what we remember from Grade 1 and deciding on what we want our classroom community to look like. Their energy and excitement can really be felt in the classroom. It looks like it is going to be a joyous school year!
Here are the reminders for the week:
Food – We will be eating our recess snack and lunch after we play outside so please take that into consideration. Please send nutritious snacks and lunches, as well as a reusable spill-proof water bottle (please do NOT pack juice boxes). Anything sent to school will be sent back home to be recycled. Please also ensure that your child can open any containers you send and that everything is labeled.
Masks – As per Mrs. Moorehead’s email on Friday, two masks were sent home. Please wash both masks and keep one at home. Please label 1 mask with your child’s name and send it back to school. Please also have a conversation with your child about your expectations for wearing their mask.
