Grade 2

Week of Oct. 26 – 30

Hello Grade Two Families,

It was so wonderful to meet with all of you and chat about how your child is doing in Grade 2. I really appreciate the opportunity for us to meet in person and talk about how we can work together to best support your child. As I mentioned at the end of the conference, if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know so we can continue to openly communicate throughout the year.

We have been going on walks around the school property observing our surroundings, using our senses and noticing any changes since the our last walk. A spider at the front of the church is a big favourite! This week, we went looking for different kinds of leaves. The students were very interested and invested in looking for a variety of leaves. Their energy and enthusiasm in the activity was palpable! They wanted to take the sheet home so they could look for more leaves in their own homes and parks! Happy hunting!

On Friday, October 30th, your child’s Interim Report will be going home. Please look for it in your child’s agenda. It is a snapshot of what we have covered in Grade Two so far. The report will make reference to posts made on Class Dojo that displays your child’s work and progress. Please make sure you check out Class Dojo at the end of the week.
