Grade 2

Week of Nov. 25 – 29

Hi Grade Two Families,

While we were learning about growing patterns, many of the students made the connection that the patterns are like skip counting. They are right! We are going to continue to build our number sense in math with skip counting. The students are showing how to skip count by 2s, 5s and 10s by counting objects and grouping them accordingly. Stay tuned to check it out on Class Dojo soon! We talked about why we skip count, and they said it was so we can count faster, count more accurately and it will help them learn more math ideas as they grow older. Please support them by practicing skip counting at home with your children.

We have hip hop during PE this week! As a class we promised to do out best and go through the week with a positive attitude no matter how we feel towards it. They will be working hard to share with you what they’ve learned with a special Assembly on Friday at 1:30 pm. As we find out more information about the Assembly, we will be sure to let you know.

Have a great week!
