Grade 2

Week of Nov. 2 – 6

Hello Grade Two Families!

No doubt a highlight from last week was Halloween! We were able to celebrate by playing some games, eating our treats and sharing our costumes. Not to mention the school-wide Zoom dance party! We got to see the costumes from the other classes and move along together through Zoom. We also had some scare-y fun with Mr. Kelly who was scared many of us in his scarecrow costume! The Grade 2 class had a front row view of all the fun!

Today is All Saints’ Day! We pray that the holy men and women in heaven watch over us, protect us and pray for us. Throughout the month of November, we will be learning about the lives of the saints and how we are all called to be saints. Tomorrow, we will also talk about All Souls’ Day and how we can pray for our dearly departed.

This week, we look forward to our first class Mass. We will have the opportunity go attend Mass as a Grade Two class. We will be going over the prayers and what to do during Mass. If your child was given a part to read for Mass, please practice it with them. What a wonderful opportunity for us to go to Mass together! 🙂
