Grade 2

Week of May 13 – 17

Dear Grade Two Families,

Congratulations to you and your children on receiving their First Holy Communion!! It was a beautiful day and your children so earnestly received the Lord. I loved seeing all of their faces full of a sense of pride, love and joy. I hope you had a special time celebrating this important sacrament. All the reminders for the Solemn Communion celebration are found below. That is for sure to be another very special day!

Tomorrow, Monday, May 13, parents will have an opportunity to hear from a clinical counsellor on the topic of stress and anxiety.  I encourage you all to attend if you can. Please see below the email from Mrs. Moorehead.

Hello St. Paul Families,
Has your child ever experienced stress?  The answer is, of course.  Stress is a fact of life, and can at times be a productive response to stimuli.  Unfortunately, stress has become an all too common presence in our daily lives, and when children aren’t equipped with the skills to manage it, or parents aren’t aware of the signs to watch for, stress and anxiety can become a crippling inhibitor to our children living a resilient, healthy life.
St. Paul and St. Joseph the Worker Schools invite our parent communities to a parent education evening at St. Paul School on May 13th to focus on our children’s mental health.  Even if your child does not show any signs of stress or anxiety, we encourage all parents to attend this very informative evening with Clinical Counselor PJ Lewis.  Please see the attached flyer for full details, as well as information on our presenter for the evening.
In the interest of raising resilient and joyful children, we look forward to sharing this valuable information with you.
Yours in faith,
Maureen Moorehead.
